Top Reasons to Trim Your Wick

Have you been wondering why on earth you need to trim your wick? Well here are my top reasons why you need to make sure you trim your wick before EVERY burn.

1. Safety

Not trimming your wick prior to each burn can result in a candle that isn’t safe.  You could experience a lot of smoking with the candle, large and wild flames and having your jar get hotter than it should as it burns. 

When the wick is trimmed, you can ensure a safe burn for your candle.  You can use wick trimmers or even your fingers to trim down your wick. (Please wait until the candle is cool to do this)

2. Candle Longevity

By trimming the wick, you’re ensuring that the candle last a lot longer. Having an un trimmed wick makes a very unpredictable candle.  It’s performance and burn time can change a lot if you’re not trimming the wicks.
